Yeah!!!! I finally got a job!!!!!!I was at CSIT in the morning doing my 2 hr computer security test......Just as I was about to hand in the paper, I received a call from the agency informing that Singapore Computer Systems has offered me the job of Systems Engineer!!!! I was so so happy.......I had already been unemployed for about 5 months liao...........so the feeling was undescribeable!!! I will be employed by SCS but I will be mainly based at DSO. This job is only 1 yr contract and at the moment I dun really know in detail what project I am doing cos DSO is very secretive about the project........Well, all I know is that I will be doing something on wireless LAN and video compression.......the rest is secret.....hee.........

I was so happy that I went to buy 4D when I passed by singapore pools........guess what number I bought????....................2511..........today's date...........hee.....so whether saturday will open or not....haha....

It has been donkey's years since I have blogged...so much so that I think there might be some cobwebs lying around my blog.....hee.......

I have been busy with doing my temporary job and at the same time going for interviews.......I have already been to 20 over interviews but then I am still unemployed.....sob.......I have been to all sorts of companies applying for all sorts of jobs and I have already been all over the island!!! I have been to Ang Mo Kio, Jurong East, Lor Chuan, Orchard Rd, Tanjong Pagar, and even Changi!!!!The companies that I went to include Seagate,Marvell,Daikin, Fujitsu,Xilinx,M1,Singapore Land Authority and many more!!!

If you wanna know how bad the job market is, especially for the engineering side, all you have to do is go for a Walk-in-Interview!!!! I went for the unaxis Walk-in-interview 2 sundays ago........The interview was supposed to start at 2pm......I went there at 2pm, and there were already more than 200 people there!!!!!Some of the people already finished filing in their application form and are submitting already!! And they even run out of application forms until they have to go and photocopy some more........it is more like a fish maket than a walk-in-interview!! And 15 mins after sending in my application form, one of the company staff announced that due to overwhelming response, they will first screen through our resumes and those without experiance will not be given an interview today!!!! And then she read out the names of these who are selected for the interview and those "thank you very much" which means can go home liao lah!!!!! What a waste of my time!!! There were a lot of fresh graduates there also and they were all cursing and swearing that the advertisement did not ask those without experiance not to come!!! It was a waste of all our time......
