Hi....it has been a while since I updated my blog liao.....cos I have been quite busy......been busy with the usual stuff......homework, reports and cooking!!! hee.....got to hand up my Literature Review by tomorrow....Anyway for the past week I have been doing some baking and cooking new stuff. I tried to bake a chocolate cake last thursday and it was my first time baking a cake by myself!!! The taste is okie, just that the cake looks like a mountain!! The reason is because I accidently put the temperature of the oven too high and I realised it about 5 minutes later and adjusted it back!!! That is why the middle portion of the cake rise more than the side of the cake and look like a volcano!! hee....well....guess I will have better luck next time....Oh ya, then on sunday I and Larry tried to make pohpiah...We spent the whole afternoon making 50 deep fried pohpiahs!!!!We then brought some upstairs for our friends to taste......It tastes nice except that some of them look a bit black!!!hee........

My friends and I went to sunderland on Saturday morning to buy crabs!!!!!We had to take a 30 minute ride on the metro to get there and also had to wake up early in the morning to go and buy them......The crabs are quite cheap and it costs about 1.80 pounds per kg which is about 5 sing dollars per kg.....We bought about 13 crabs and took the metro back to newcastle!!!We then spent the rest of the day killing, scrubbing and cooking the crabs. My friend Adrian( yup...another Adrian!!!)cooked the crabs in two flavours which is chili crabs and black pepper crabs. There were a total of 7 of us eating the crabs with beehoon......

This is the view that I get from the window in my room......On the top left hand corner of the photo is St James Park which is the stadium for Newcastle United......It is quite near my flat and I can see the people streaming into the stadium on match days....It can get quite noisy during matchdays especially when Newcastle United scores a goal but it doesn't really bother me much...other then matchdays, its a quiet place and good for studying as it does not face the main road.

Yesterday my flatmate Larry suddenly had a craving for curry so he suggested we make chicken curry for today's lunch!! I agreed and so he went to buy french bread(jiam tao ro ti in hokkien )and we cooked the curry last night for today's lunch........hee....guess this is the most filling lunch I have ever had since coming back here 1 month plus!!!Just finished eating just now.......Aiya...got to go for my lectures liao.....sayonara!!!

I went to sports hall on Friday night to play badminton and mixed-netball. The Singapore Students’ Society had a sports nite where they booked the court for sports for its members to play. I played badminton for half an hour and then went over to the next court to play netball for the next half an hour......Basically I don’t really know the rules for netball but then its just for the fun of it....I was the GK for a while and then changed to number 3 for a while…hmm…actually come to think of it, there were more guys playing than girls at that time...hee...

Basically the weekend was spent doing nothing much.....went to my friend’s house on Saturday to surf internet and get some movies from him to watch and Sunday was spent doing some reading for my project, some homework for Japanese, etc......no more housewarming parties to attend...hee...so far...that’s how boring life in England is...hai....
