The Birth of our Piglet Clover Chee

Our Piglet Clover Chee was born at Mount Alvernia Hospital on 24th February 2007 at 12.38pm. She weights a hefty 3.59kg!

Clover was supposed to be due on the 3rd day of Chinese New Year. But then she still does not want to come out on that day. Therefore, our gynae arranged nancy for a induced labour on saturday because the baby cannot be in the womb for more than 41 weeks.

We went to the hospital on saturday at 1am and we were directed to go to the delivery suite. The nurse then inserted some tablets into nancy to enable the cervix to open wider. I also spent the night at the cold delivery suite sleeping uncomfortably on the chair. The gynae came at 7.30am in the morning to burst the water bag.

At about ard 11am , the nurses detected something strange about the baby's heartbeat. Everytime that Nancy had contractions, the baby's heartbeat would go down.....This is not normal! They then contacted our gynae and he rushed down to the hospital. He suspected that some part of the umbilical cord might be wrapped around some part of the baby's body, causing the heartbeat to drop during Nancy's contractions.

The gynae then decided to do a emergency cesarean section to get the baby out as the baby may not survive that long. The cesarean section was quite fast and our piglet clover was out within 15 to 20 mins......

Finally, after nine months of waiting, clover is finally out safe and sound......

Clover was enjoying the comfort at Nancy womb. Congrates bro..
